On Thursday 7th April, I attended the K+N Networking Group for Women in Design, Property and Facilities Management in London.

Angela Brady OBE was the guest speaker and she delivered a talk about ‘From Twitter to TV!’ What it’s like to have a career in Architecture.

Angela was a huge inspiration, she is a respected architect and set up the award winning London architectural practice Brady Mallalieu which specialises in sustainable housing and office projects. Angela the past president of RIBA has just completed a new documentary TV series “Designing Ireland” a critical review of Architecture, Place and Craft.

Angela shared with us her professional experience and the amount of remarkable work that she has done for our industry. She advised us to talk to kids about sustainable design, they’re our future and how good design has the power to change lives.

Her professional life approved that communication is the key skills for businesses and reminded us that we should be taking away at least 10 business cards from these sorts of events.

Many thanks Angela for introducing me to the attendees to share with them my experience on social media and thanks to K+N International for organizing and hosting such a great event and networking.
